Food Law and Food Waste

The Harvard Food Law and Policy Clinic has been working hard to help solve the problem of food waste.  They write that about 40 percent of food produced in the United States is wasted each year. The Federal government estimates that each household of four wastes about 2 million calories each year.  Politicians, chefs, activists, and industry are working on the problem, but what is to be done?  Some thoughts on how law can hurt or help over at Time.com:
